Royal Grammar School - TES

Date: 2 weeks ago
City: Newcastle upon Tyne
Contract type: Full time

We have an excellent opportunity for a friendly, professional, and experienced Exams Invigilator to join our current Exams Invigilation team. We are looking for someone who is motivated, approachable, reliable, highly trustworthy and has an eye for detail. The main responsibility of an invigilator is to ensure the security of the public exams whilst offering appropriate support to students. This will be undertaken under the supervision of one of our experienced Lead Invigilators. The successful candidate will receive the appropriate invigilation training prior to commencing the role and ongoing support and training.

If you are interested in this role and think you will be able to bring the right qualities to our team, we would love to hear from you!

Hours: Generally, the main periods of work will be during May and June with other opportunities available throughout the year. Hours will be offered in line with the invigilation requirement at school.

Salary: Exams Invigilators are paid £11.15 per hour + 15% holiday pay. You will be paid for a minimum of 3 hours for any invigilation work carried out. The Exams Invigilator will be employed on an Assignment contract (see job information for further details).

For full details and an application form, please see our website: www.rgs.newcastle.sch.uk/join-us/work-for-us

Applications will be reviewed upon receipt and interviews will be offered to suitable candidates on a rolling basis. Early applications are therefore encouraged, and the school may remove the advert at its discretion.

RGS is proud to be an equal opportunities employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and marriage and civil partnerships. Whilst all applicants are considered on merit, we would particularly welcome applications from black and minority ethnic candidates, who are currently under-represented in our staff community.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and we expect all staff to share this commitment. All posts are subject to pre-interview referencing, internet searchers and pre-employment checks, including an enhanced DBS check with the children's barred list.
