On-site (depending on events). Most events are London-based, where they are not, accomodation will be provided.

As an events manager, you will perform tasks such as liaising with clients and suppliers, handling logistics, managing budgets, people, organising accreditation, managing risk, and presenting post-event reports.

You will have the freedom and ability to work alone and as part of a team to ensure the goals of the company are met and new systems and ways of working are developed.

You will be working on events/festivals and ad hoc jobs at various locations, coordinating all site activities. This can involve staying away from home.

Responsibilities

  • Managing employees, suppliers and sub-contractors working on events – these might work on a short-term basis during busy periods or be full-time members of staff.
  • Providing leadership, motivation, direction and support to your team.
  • Ensuring that the company is following health & safety compliance whilst on site.
  • Carry out inductions/training of staff on site.
  • Setting clear objectives and targets for events, alongside plans for how to meet these.
  • Helping to promote events and liaising with clients.
  • Gathering feedback after an event and using it for future events.
  • Liaise directly with the project manager to assist with the on-site logistics plan.
  • Coming up with new and innovative ideas, both for events and event promotion.
  • Working within a budget for events and managing spend accordingly.
  • Problem-solving during an event.
