Position Overview
The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading, planning and managing the engineering operation to ensure maximum efficiency from all equipment and services by means of preventative maintenance and continuous improvements and modifications to equipment and methods.

Position Overview

Your Key Responsibilities Include
- Being the ambassador of Ball’s culture, driving the right behaviours amongst all plant employees.
- Ensuring the maximum efficiency from all equipment and services by means of preventative maintenance.
- Acting on own authority and initiative on day to day maintenance and repairs.
- Driving continuous improvements to all equipment (mechanical and electrical), processes and buildings.
- Execution of all plant engineering projects from the start to completion.
- Reviewing manufacturing performance.
- Keeping up-to-date with any new equipment or processes that are relative to our particular industry.
- Controlling and optimising all engineering costs within agreed budget. Compiling budgets for capital projects and engineering expense.
- Ensure that training & development for engineering staff are put into effect and continuously reviewed, revised and maintained.
- Compliance with all statutory regulations.
- Previous experience in a similar position within a large manufacturing facility
- Experience in building and leading high-performing teams
- Engineering background, with relevant degree or qualifications
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Strong communication skills across all organisational levels
- Analytical skills and ability to drive outcomes
- Fluency in written and spoken English
