What you can expect:
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Regional Center Western Europe. In this role, you will be responsible for the electrical design and technical planning of large-scale ground-mounted photovoltaic systems and battery energy storage systems. You will play a key role in ensuring the technical excellence and smooth execution of our UK-based renewable energy projects.
Tasks:
- Electrical design and detailed engineering of utility-scale PV power plants and BESS
- Design of data systems for monitoring, remote control, and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Coordination with authorities, grid operators, and internal technical departments
- Review and validation of design documents from internal teams and external engineering firms
- Tendering, contracting, and acceptance of subcontractor services
- Evaluation of relevant technical standards and development of internal planning and safety guidelines
Profile:
- Successfully completed degree in electrical engineering or a related field
- Professional experience in utility-scale solar PV projects, ideally with BESS and knowledge of the UK market
- Solid technical background and genuine interest in renewable energy technologies
- Proficient in AutoCAD and PVsyst
- Comfortable working in dynamic environments and dealing with uncertainty
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Confident and assertive personality, able to challenge suppliers and contractors constructively
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
