Job Title: Editorial Assistant
Salary: £25,200 - £31,800
Location: Cambridge – Hybrid (2-3x a week in the office)
Contract: Permanent, Full time (35 hours per week)
We are looking for a motivated Editorial Assistant to provide support for a Publisher and Commissioning Editor who are responsible for building the medical books publishing portfolio.

The role is varied and includes administrative, editorial, and list management responsibilities as well as working closely with a range of people across Editorial, Content Management, Sales and Marketing, and doctors and healthcare professionals.

- Coordinate with authors, editors, and contributors
- Manage manuscript delivery, project timelines, and author queries
- Oversee contracts, payments, and permissions
- Handle copywriting and cover image research
- Represent the Publisher/Editor at occasional conferences
- Strong communication, admin, and time-management skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Proactive, flexible, and team-oriented
- Interest in medical or scientific subjects (preferred)
- Experience in office settings and cross-functional communication
