Romac Logistics are currently recruiting for a Driver Trainer to join our team based in Middleton, Manchester.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Pre-employment

Following an RTA

Agency intake
-
Maintain Driver training records and skills matrix so that proof of training can be demonstrated should the need arise.

Participation in Health and safety, depot related and national forums relating to driver and compliance standards and performance
-
Deliver compliance interventions to support fuel efficient driving, accident reduction, tachograph compliance and behavioural change as directed by the business

Provide ongoing coaching and support to all drivers to improve driver performance in line with the business performance

Deliver Driver training initiatives.

Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and evaluate trainees' performance and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their driving skills.

Fostering a proactive team ethos within the Transport Department.

Ensure trainees understand and adhere to all applicable traffic laws and regulation.

Assist with the development of training materials and resources.

Decision maker on Driver candidates’ ability to perform role safely.
Skills and Experience:
-
HGV C+E licence
-
Full Driver CPC
-
Computer literate
-
Knowledge of licence & CPC requirements
-
Familiarity with EU Driver Hours Rules and the Working Time Directive
