Driver - Team Leader

Are you a natural leader with a passion for logistics and delivering top-notch customer service? We’re looking for a hands-on Driver - Team Leader to manage and support a team of drivers, ensuring smooth hub operations and high standards of service. If you’re ready to take the lead, work closely with the UK Transport Manager, and make a real impact, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of drivers at your assigned hub
• Liaise with Uk Transport Manager to resolve operational issues
• Oversee vehicle maintenance, pre-operation checks, and defect reporting
• Arrange vehicle recovery in case of breakdowns and manage hire vehicles when needed
• Coordinate driver schedules, including holiday cover and sickness management
• Conduct return-to-work interviews and monitor attendance using the Bradford Absence Management Policy
• Ensure all customer returns are securely packaged and reported accurately
• Monitor and report health & safety issues to maintain a safe working environment
• Identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement
• Conduct performance reviews, assist with recruitment, and resolve any conflicts
• Maintain exceptional customer service standards and ensure compliance with company policies
  
  

What You'll Bring:

• Proven experience managing a team in a fast-paced logistics or transport environment
• Strong route planning and multi-drop delivery knowledge
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Basic IT skills and ADR awareness
• Ability to handle physical tasks (lifting up to 23kg)
