The job:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director, Plant/Site to join our Single-Use Technology (SUT) team in Cramlington, UK. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating all functions across site to ensure peak efficiency, flawless communication, and compliance with all customer, business, and regulatory requirements.
This role will report directly to the VP Operations of our SUT business, based in the US, and will work closely with the Cramlington Site Leadership Team and Functional Leaders to build a successful “One Site” operations team.
This role is fully site-based (5 days pw) at our Cramlington, UK site. Occasional international travel may be required.

What will you do?
- Establish and improve mechanisms to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality product delivery to support the Single Use Division's growth
- Assess resource needs across sites and prioritize assignments in collaboration with site and functional leaders
- Provide thought leadership to site leaders to achieve network goals and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Drive performance of the operations team to exceed financial targets through quality, cost efficiency, and productivity
- Promote collaboration across sites and global functions
- Establish key performance indicators to promote progress and visibility, analyze data to focus and achieve desired outcomes
- Develop a succession strategy and mentor site leaders for exceptional performance and coaching
- Coordinate hiring, training, coaching, and performance reviews of manufacturing leaders
- Manage budgets, schedules, and key operating metrics
- Identify projects and suggest suitable actions to enhance profitability and supply
- Ensure effective transfer of new products into production
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
- 10-15 years of management experience in a complex GMP manufacturing environment (pharmaceuticals, medical devices or similar)
- Site leadership experience, or a senior leadership role within a GMP manufacturing environment with a focus on manufacturing operations
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership ability with a focus on customer needs
- Proven track record of building teams and implementing process improvements
- Experience in continuous improvement methodologies
- Advanced level of English
