Main duties of the job

Social media management – production, scheduling, monitoring, development, innovation, analysis

Content production – photography, video, graphics

Internet and intranet – training, web development and upkeep. This role is vital in maintaining an up to date intranet and website for the Trust.

Reputation management – assessing content that needs to be shared and responding to queries online.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The post holder will work under the guidance of the Director and Deputy Director of Communications and Engagement, and Digital Communications Lead to ensure the delivery of a quality social media content, following the latest trends that social media has to offer.

The post holder will also support photography within the communications team and short filming projects, recording and editing content that will feature on our social media, website, and intranet.

This will include evaluating social media activity, website, and intranet work, offering support with training, video and photography support, and other associated communications activity.

The post holder will be able to establish positive working relationships quickly at all levels of the organisation and manage a busy workload, responding to conflicting priorities as required.

The postholder will be based at Queen’s Medical Centre (QMC) with the ability to work from home and across all Trust and external sites as needed.

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Knowledge of the latest developments in social media
  • Experience in creating and editing video content.
  • Computer literacy in design, photo and video manipulation software (Adobe, Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Premier Pro, Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrate creativity in the implementation of communication projects.

Desirable criteria

  • Has a broader knowledge of the wider ‘marketing mix’ including PR, direct marketing, campaigns, and design.
  • Experience of photography and video work (using Adobe Premier Pro/Photoshop) Experience of running social media accounts for an organisation or service.

Training & Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Educated to a diploma level (design/digital/videography/ photography qualification) or show relevant work experience in digital roles.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development

Desirable criteria

  • Educated to degree level (design/digital/videography/ photography qualification)

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.

I agree to reimburse Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust the cost of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check if it is required (by deduction from first month’s pay).
