As an Analytics Engineer, you are central to unlocking value from data within our team. You’ll be part of a collaborative, cross-functional group with strengths in Data Engineering, Data Analysis, Analytics Engineering, and Business Intelligence.

You will lead and own pre-sales data Business Intelligence processes to drive strategies which target the right audience with precision, collaborating closely with stakeholders to transform business needs into data-driven solutions that fuel growth and unlock opportunities.

Please note that this role is hybrid with 3-days a week being in the office.

In return for this, we are looking for someone who has:

Technical Skills

  • Advanced SQL skills with strong performance awareness.
  • Familiarity with Azure data tools (e.g. Data Factory).
  • Python knowledge for data wrangling and automation tasks.
  • Experience with Power BI, or similar data visualisation platforms.
  • Understanding of data modelling and data warehousing concepts.

Non-Technical Skills

  • Passion for learning, sharing knowledge, and being a proactive team player.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strategic thinking with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable owning processes and taking initiative.
  • Data-first mindset with a deep sense of responsibility for quality and security.

What would I be doing as an Analytics Engineer at 4Com?

  • Own and manage pre-sales data Business Intelligence processes, becoming the champion of pre-sales data activities whilst ensuring high-quality, targeted data is integrated into core marketing channels like Telemarketing and Direct Mail.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and other teams to optimise the use of data at every step of the pre-sales journey.
  • Build datasets and provide actionable insights to support campaign strategies with measurable business impact.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to add value through Business Intelligence, improving customer targeting effectiveness.
  • Work with our internal system development teams to ensure seamless data integration across business systems.
  • Design reusable, high-performing datasets that support analysis and visualisation for the future customer pipeline.
  • Partner with both Data Engineers and Data Analysts to ensure availability and organisation of essential data sources and provide stakeholders with clear, accessible, and reliable data solutions.
  • Capture and challenge stakeholder requirements to improve how data insights and value are delivered.
  • Guide and mentor BI Developers, Engineers, and Analysts on best practices for using datasets and tools.
