Job Title: Customer Operations Administrator

Location: Fraser Anti-Static Techniques Ltd, Scott’s Business Park, Bampton, Devon, EX16 9DN

Reporting to: Customer Operations Manager

Working Pattern: Monday–Thursday, 8:00am–4:00pm; Friday, 8:00am–3:00pm


Job Purpose:

The Customer Operations Administrator plays a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely handling of customer enquiries, order processing, and shipment of goods using approved carriers. This role supports the smooth delivery of products in line with customer expectations and applicable trade legislation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, meeting internal processing targets.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries.
  • Calculate shipping charges using carrier pricing matrices.
  • Provide internal advice on delivery options, costs, and shipping-related matters.
  • Generate shipping documentation via the ERP system and carrier-specific platforms.
  • Produce bespoke shipping and customs documentation as required.
  • Liaise with customers and internal departments to ensure timely and correct order fulfilment.
  • Coordinate with customers and suppliers to obtain and archive accurate customs documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and hauliers.
  • Review carrier invoices and report any discrepancies.
  • Allocate and scan completed job sheets for records.
  • Print operating instructions and documentation for both office and production teams.
  • Provide cover and support for other team members within the Customer Operations team as needed.


Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally with exposure to trade legislation and compliance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Analytical mindset with confident problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively under pressure, prioritising tasks to meet tight deadlines.
  • Professional, proactive, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
