We provide inspection services for local authorities across the UK and are expanding our team in South Oxfordshire. We have a permanent position for an enthusiastic individual to conduct property inspections, assess Council Tax liabilities, and manage a portfolio of clients. You'll receive training and work alongside an experienced inspector before managing your own schedule and tasks.

This field-based role requires travel across South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse, so a driver's license and access to transport are essential. We welcome applications from diverse backgrounds, particularly Black, Asian, and other ethnic minorities.

What you'll be doing:


  • Regular inspections of domestic properties or sites that have been given planning permission and visiting commercial properties.
  • Arranging own calendar to ensure that visits take place in a timely manner but also that all administrative tasks are completed
  • Establishing liability or entitlement to tax discount, exemption or reliefs, in line with legislation and policy.
  • Taking appropriate action where reliefs no longer apply.
  • Arranging appointments with landlords, agents, business owners, etc to gain access to premises.
  • Ensuring the database is accurate, complete and up-to-date.
  • Developing a network of relationships with developers and landlords in the area
  • Liaising with other agencies

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
