Key Accountabilities

- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with Product to craft and execute a bold vision for our Conversational Assistant and GenAI initiatives. Inspire and lead a team of brilliant engineers, fostering a vibrant culture of innovation and excellence.
- Technological Innovation: Drive the creation and deployment of state-of-the-art AI and machine learning solutions that elevate customer and colleague experiences and streamline operations.
- Collaborative Development: Work hand-in-hand with cross-functional teams, including product owners, data scientists, engineers, and UX designers, to deliver integrated and impactful solutions.
- Delivery Excellence: Define roadmaps, manage budgets, and allocate resources to ensure timely and successful delivery of our initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, effectively communicating the value and impact of our Conversational Assistant and GenAI projects.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring industry trends and advancements in AI technology, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance our solutions and maintain a competitive edge.
- Coaching and Development: Mentor and support your team members, fostering their professional growth and ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to excel in their roles.

Accountabilities
- Provision of subject matter expertise to support the collaboration between the product owner and the technical side of product development.
- Support the development and implementation of the product strategy and vision defined in the product roadmap and communicate them with the relevant stakeholders and the development team.
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders to gather and prioritise product requirements and features based on business value and feasibility that are well defined, measurable and secure.
- Development and implementation of assessments to ensure continuous testing and improvement of product quality and performance.
- Monitoring of product performance to identify opportunities for optimisation that meets the banks performance standards.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies, to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improve product development and delivery.
- Provide expert advice to senior functional management and committees to influence decisions made outside of own function, offering significant input to function wide strategic initiatives.
- Manage, coordinate and enable resourcing, budgeting and policy creation for a significant sub-function.
- Escalates breaches of policies / procedure appropriately.
- Foster and guide compliance, ensure regulations are observed that relevant processes in place to facilitate adherence.
- Focus on the external environment, regulators, or advocacy groups to both monitor and influence on behalf of Barclays, when appropriate.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of how the function integrates with the business division / Group to achieve the overall business objectives.
- Maintain broad and comprehensive knowledge of industry theories and practices within own discipline alongside up-to-date relevant sector / functional knowledge, and insight into external market developments / initiatives.
- Use interpretative thinking and advanced analytical skills to solve problems and design solutions in often complex/ sensitive situations.
- Exercise management authority to make significant decisions and certain strategic decisions or recommendations within own area.
- Negotiate with and influence stakeholders at a senior level both internally and externally.
- Act as principal contact point for key clients and counterparts in other functions/ businesses divisions.
- Mandated as a spokesperson for the function and business division.
