Are you passionate about supporting families? As a Contact Support Worker, you will play a vital role in facilitating meaningful family time for children aged 0-17. Your responsibilities will include arranging, supervising, and recording family interactions, while also ensuring the safety and well-being of the children involved. As a Contact Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating Family Connections: Arrange and supervise family time sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Recording and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of family interactions and report any safeguarding concerns promptly.
  • Transporting Children: Occasionally transport children to and from family time sessions, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Flexibility in Service Delivery: Work from various venues across the county, adapting to the changing needs of the service.
  • Court Attendance: Occasionally attend court to provide evidence as part of care proceedings.

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A full driving license and access to a suitable vehicle.
  • Evidence of GCSE passes at grade C or above in English and maths.
  • Evidence of QCF – level 3 (previously NVQ Level 3) Social Care or Child Care or an equivalent qualification.-applicants may provide evidence of ‘working towards’ the qualification.
  • Experience working with children and families, preferably in a social care setting.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple family time sessions effectively.
  • Proficiency in recording information accurately and adhering to safeguarding protocols.
