The Position

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Communications Partner to join our small but dynamic team and be part of a purpose-driven organisation, with a clear vision and an inclusive and positive culture.

The Communications Partner will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders to design and deliver communication activities which engage and motivate our people, enhance awareness of the Roche brand, and protect and build our reputation with key external audiences.

This role supports the Heads of Internal and External Communications in providing strategic communications advice and support to our Senior Leadership Team, as well as teams and projects across our business. You will also work closely with the communications and PR agencies who support the delivery of our communications strategy, as an extension of our in-house team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute tactical communication plans and content that align with the communications and marketing strategies, and our business goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and agencies to manage media relations, PR and internal communications projects.
  • Create, edit, and distribute high-quality content for various internal and external platforms and audiences
  • Manage media relations, including working with our PR agency to build and maintain relationships with journalists, respond to media enquiries, and coordinate proactive media and speaker opportunities and campaigns
  • Facilitate internal communication campaigns,activities and events to ensure employees are well-informed and engaged with company goals and objectives
  • Monitor and analyse communication metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement
  • Support crisis communication and issues management

Who you are

  • Experience of working in a corporate communications team and/or agency
  • Experience of PR and media relations and understanding of media landscape
  • Experience of internal communications and employee engagement to drive a positive company culture
  • Experience of creating content for different audiences and communications channels including social media
  • Internal and external stakeholder engagement and management

Desirable

  • Experience of creating content for internal and external events and being part of the events delivery experience for colleagues or stakeholders
  • Proven track record of successfully managing communication campaigns from start to finish
  • Experience of handling and mitigating communication crises
  • Knowledge of healthcare (diagnostics, pharma or other)
