We’re looking for caring, motivated individuals to support young people (16–25) with visual impairment and complex needs within our residential college setting, helping them build independence, confidence, and life skills.
This is a hands-on support role, working closely with young people during their evening routines and activities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting young people with daily routines and independent living skills
- Providing personal care in a respectful and dignified way (to individuals of all genders)
- Encouraging participation in activities, both on-site and in the community
- Building positive relationships and promoting choice and independence
- Working as part of a supportive, person-centred team
About you:
- Kind, reliable, and enthusiastic about supporting others
- Comfortable providing hands-on care, including personal care
- A strong communicator with a positive, can-do attitude
- Able to work flexibly and use your initiative
No two evenings are the same, one day you might be supporting a cooking session, the next helping someone attend a social activity or develop new life skills.
Working pattern:
- Full Time: Mon–Fri, 15:30–22:30 (38 weeks per year)
- Part Time: Mon–Thurs, 15:30–22:30 (38 weeks per year)
