Description

As part of our cloud-first transformation, we are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our Managed and Cloud Services team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their cloud career who thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving environment and wants to build hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms.

What you will be doing

In this role, you will support the deployment, operation, and maintenance of both internal and customer cloud environments. You will work closely with experienced engineers and contribute to delivering reliable services and successful project outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deploying, configuring and supporting cloud infrastructure and services
  • Monitoring the health, performance and cost of cloud and on-premise environments
  • Supporting implementation of cloud solutions for internal and customer systems
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues across Azure and Microsoft-based environments
  • Contributing to disaster recovery, backup testing and resilience initiatives
  • Maintaining accurate technical documentation and operational procedures
  • Identifying risks and escalating issues where needed
  • Collaborating with colleagues and contributing to a supportive team culture

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure, and a proactive, curious mindset.

You will bring:

  • Experience or exposure to Microsoft Azure (deployment or support)
  • Understanding of IaaS, SaaS and PaaS environments
  • Basic scripting knowledge, such as PowerShell
  • Exposure to infrastructure as code technologies such as ARM, Bicep or Terraform and an awareness of CI/CD practices
  • Experience using monitoring or observability tools would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP or IIS
  • A basic understanding of networking concepts

Desirable experience:

  • Entry-level Azure certification such as AZ-900 or AZ-104
  • Exposure to automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible
  • Awareness of ITIL or service management frameworks
