A rewarding opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to lead a specialist team supporting children and young people with complex needs. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role with responsibility for delivering high-quality, trauma-informed psychological services.

Key Responsibilities Of a Clinical Psychologist

  • As a HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist, you will play a key role in delivering specialist psychological services across our residential care and education settings
  • Oversee assessments, interventions, and therapeutic plans
  • Ensure quality assurance, supervision, and staff development
  • Lead the development of trauma-informed approaches, including self-harm interventions
  • Work closely with care staff, schools, social workers, and CAMHS
  • Lead and develop the clinical team, setting high standards and clear direction

Essential criteria of a Clinical Psychologist:

  • HCPC Registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
  • Extensive experience working with children and young people with complex trauma
  • Proven leadership experience within a clinical setting
  • Excellent understanding of safeguarding, LAC frameworks, and multi-agency Collaboration
  • Skilled in assessment, intervention, supervision, and report writing
  • Strong commitment to evidence-based and trauma-informed practice
