CLEANER
G4S Care and Rehabilitation Services
HMP Parc, Bridgend, CF35 6AP
Salary £26,057.11 per annum
Permanent - Full Time (40 hours per week, 07.30am - 16.30pm)

Within Care and Rehabilitation Services, the philosophy of our prisons is to rehabilitate offenders and equip them to re-integrate into mainstream society on release. We seek to normalise prison conditions as far as possible to reflect life in the outside community. Our aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe and causes of prison stress are minimised. Central to our philosophy is the relationship between staff and prisoners. Our training and operational practices emphasise the need to treat prisoners with dignity and respect and G4S staff build positive and supportive relationships with the prisoners in their care. HMP & YOI Parc accommodates 1038 convicted male adult prisoners and remand/ convicted young offenders and young people in a secure but modern environment.
The successful candidate will be required to provide a cleaning service to specified areas within the contract specification and will have full accountability for your area of responsibility and delivery of the Cleaning Services & Waste disposal Management.
Key Responsibilities
You must be able to work to high standards, be reliable and have a flexible approch. Previous experience in a similar role would be desirable but isnt essential.

Key Responsibilities
- To work as part of the cleaning team providing cleaning activities for your area of responsibility as and when required.
- To develop, improve and maintain an exceptionally strong working relationship with all the cleaning team , sub-contractors, suppliers and G4S staff
- To manage your area of responsibility with correct stock levels , cleaning standards and when required assist the team to deliver all aspects of cleaning duties in other areas.
- To assist to deliver and meet both the client and operational demands.
- To work with the cleaning team leader,Soft Services Manager and service delivery manager to develop and provide best practice results across the contract.
- To ensure that robust procedures and processes are in place and adhered to, in order to maintain staffing levels appropriate to contractual requirements
- To comply with the requirements within the Health & Safety at work act
- To comply with all G4S & HMP & YOI Parc policies and process as required
