MEL Environmental Solutions Ltd is on the lookout for a Claims Handler to join our friendly and fast-paced team in our Barnsley Office!

What You’ll Be Doing:

From first contact to final resolution, you’ll be the driving force behind managing environmental claims from start to finish – no handoffs, just ownership and impact. You’ll build strong relationships, keep our clients informed, and ensure every claim is handled with care, compliance, and confidence.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include:

• Handling claims end to end with accuracy and empathy
• Supporting clients and customers via phone, email, and CRM systems
• Prioritising cases and meeting key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Liaising across internal teams to keep everything running smoothly
• Helping improve our claims processes with your ideas and feedback

What We’re Looking For:

• A proactive, detail-oriented team player with a “can-do” attitude
• Strong communication skills and a confident telephone manner
• Previous experience in customer service or a fast-paced office environment
• (Bonus) Insurance or claims handling experience
