What You'll Be Doing
As a Support Worker, you'll be an integral part of a close-knit team, working together to create a structured, engaging, and supportive environment for young people. Your role will include:
- Providing Direct Care & Support – Help young people navigate daily routines, build essential life skills, and develop confidence in a stable and structured environment.
- Building Positive Relationships – Earn trust and respect while setting boundaries that encourage personal growth and responsibility.
- Problem-Solving & Leadership – Handle situations calmly and confidently, using initiative to de-escalate conflicts and make informed decisions.
- Teamwork & Collaboration – Work closely with colleagues to maintain a consistent and safe environment, ensuring that young people feel secure and supported.
- Engaging in Varied Activities – Get involved in a wide range of experiences, including school runs, attending professional meetings, health and education appointments, and supporting family contact sessions.
- Outdoor & Recreational Activities – Join young people in active pursuits such as swimming, rugby, hiking, biking, theme parks, soft play, and more, encouraging them to try new things and stay active.
We need individuals who are hands-on, adaptable, and committed to making a difference. Ideal candidates will:
- Have a natural ability to connect with young people and act as a positive role model.
- Handle challenges with confidence and resilience.
- Work well within a team, bringing energy, enthusiasm, and reliability to every shift.
- Be eager to learn and develop, with the requirement to gain industry-recognised qualifications.
- Competitive Pay: £29,448 (35 hours per week working a 2 on, 4 off shift pattern) up to £43,286 (3 on, 3 off working pattern)
- Career Progression: Funded Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare and Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, plus completion bonuses.
