Key Responsibilities
Product Owner Responsibilities:
Backlog Management
- Define, prioritize, and refine the product backlog for claims processing projects based on business value and customer needs.
- Translate business requirements into user stories with clear acceptance criteria, ensuring readiness for development.
- Align with stakeholders on feature delivery priorities to enhance claims handling efficiency and accuracy.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, claims teams, and development squads.
- Incorporate feedback from end-users and claims processors to ensure the product meets operational needs.
- Develop and communicate a strategic roadmap for claims processing enhancements, aligning with organizational goals.
Release Train Engineer Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Agile Release Train (ART) events, including PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, and System Demos.
- Identify and manage cross-squad dependencies, ensuring seamless coordination of deliverables.
- Drive continuous delivery, maintaining alignment with compliance, scalability, and security standards.
- Track ART performance metrics such as velocity, predictability, and quality, leveraging insights for improvements.
- Optimize squad workflows to reduce bottlenecks and maximize throughput.
- Proactively identify risks and impediments affecting delivery and collaborate with teams for resolution.
- Maintain a risk register and ensure transparent communication with stakeholders regarding critical issues.
- Mentor squad members in Agile principles and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Promote collaboration between business and IT teams, driving a shared vision of success.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Agile delivery with hands-on roles as Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Release Train Engineer.
- Strong domain knowledge in non-life insurance claims processing (e.g., home, auto, property claims).
- Proficient in scaled Agile methodologies such as SAFe or Spotify model.
- Experience managing dependencies and delivering solutions across multiple squads.
- Proficient in Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and delivery metrics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- SAFe certifications (e.g., SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, SAFe RTE).
- Experience implementing claims management systems or platforms.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in insurance claims processing.
- Work Days: Monday through Friday.
- Work Model: Hybrid working model with 3 days per week in-office.
