Role Summary:
- The successful candidate will be the channel sales lead for the UK, Ireland and Nordics markets
- In this role, the candidate will focus on selling RBBN products and services indirectly to the enterprise market through existing and new channel partners, including managed service providers, global system integrators and value-added resellers
- The role will also include direct responsibility for the management and development of Distributors to ensure RBBN maximises its depth and breadth of sales coverage across the region
- Develop and implement a channel sale plan to achieve/overachieve the agreed goals specifically for the UK, Ireland and Nordics region
- Directs and is fully responsible for the channel sales forecasting activities for the region
- Lead the sales development and awareness campaign across the region by successfully positioning RBBN enterprise solutions, services and maintenance.
- Proactively engage with key strategic partners to broaden their knowledge and position new RBBN focused solution offerings
- Presentation of the RBBN enterprise solutions and differentiators to the channel and assists in defining the optimum solution for their network requirements to establish a winning position for RBBN.
- As a virtual team member, work with the regional pre-sale’s engineers and in country direct touch team to deliver technical and commercial proposals to channel partners. In addition to supporting direct touch sales with end customer presentations, proposals and sales activity where necessary
- Attend trade shows, conferences and network within the industry to positively position RBBN. Provide input to regional marketing plans
- Weekly reporting on channel engagement, opportunities & competitive activities
- Minimum 30% Travel required
- Key to success in this role is nurturing current channel business while also driving new growth in the UK, Ireland, and Nordic markets.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering.
- Established sales track record of working with channel partners in the region.
- 5+ years’ experience and track record of success in a channel account management, quota carrying sales role with an IP networking equipment company or telecommunications service provider.
- Fundamental understanding, current knowledge and experience in voice, UC and Cloud.
- Understanding, knowledge and sales experience in IP (routing), Optical (DWDM) an advantage.
- Experience of selling Unified Communications solutions from companies such as but not limited to Microsoft, Zoom, Avaya, Mitel, Cisco or AudioCodes.
- Aptitude for problem solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach).
- Must be results-orientated, highly driven and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
- This sales role will require a high level of activity, both remotely and face to face, with the channel partners. Subsequently the candidate should be self-motivated and have a strong desire to build a strong regional business.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and Salesforce.
- This is a quota carry role and as such the person must be aware that the position will be measure on the success of their sales performance but also the roles objectives.
