It’s an exciting time of growth at Mayfield, and we are seeking an experienced and operationally minded Centre of Excellence Manager to lead the performance, compliance, and operational strategy of a cluster of centres.

This role is central to ensuring consistent, high‑quality and confident service delivery.

The Role

The Centre of Excellence Manager will work across a cluster of centres, supporting day-to-day operations, rostering, enrolments, quality, compliance and continuous improvement. This role is suited to an experienced Centre Manager who is ready to step into a broader leadership and support role.

You will regularly visit centres, complete operational and compliance checklists, support improvement plans, coach Centre Managers, and facilitate network meetings across your cluster.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support assigned centres with day-to-day operational matters.
  • Coach Centre Managers on rostering, labour planning and operational routines.
  • Support enquiry follow-up, enrolment activity and family experience.
  • Assist centres with quality, compliance and governance requirements.
  • Conduct regular centre visits and complete required checklists.
  • Track actions, follow up progress and escalate risks.
  • Run regular cluster network meetings.
  • Collaborate with other Centre of Excellence Managers to share best practice.

Your leadership style is grounded in practical support, operational clarity and a commitment to continuous improvement, ensuring your centre consistently delivers high‑quality outcomes for children, families and staff.

You Demonstrate

  • A deep knowledge of day‑to‑day centre operations, including scheduling, rostering, occupancy management, enrolment pipelines, and resource allocation.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, quality frameworks, and audit processes, with the ability to embed best practice across the centre.
  • A supportive, hands‑on leadership style that builds capability, confidence and accountability within your team.
  • Ability to identify improvement opportunities, streamline processes, and drive consistent performance.
