As a Cementing Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Protecting the health and safety of our personnel and the environment.
- Planning and preparing detailed well specific cementing programs based on field experiences, well specific challenges and applied cementing engineering.
- Providing equipment specification and recommendations, all required simulations and defining/ follow up of laboratory testing of proposed cement blends.
- Performing Equivalent Circulating Density (ECD) simulations for a specific well architecture highlighting the limitations and recommendations to lower the ECD in line with the well fracture gradient.
- Responsible for conducting post job analysis in a timely manner, highlighting any variance of pressures from planned to actual in the post job report.
- Responsible for preparing End of Well reports highlighting all the as drilled parameters to the customer and documenting the lessons learned..
- Responsible for scheduling and dispatching of resources (equipment, chemicals and define crew requirements) in line with job needs.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or scientific discipline OR relevant industry experience within product line
- Have relevant work experience aligned with job requirements
- Thorough understanding of lightweight cementing systems including the slurry design, blending and QAQC procedure.
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Have interpersonal skills to work well with colleagues and customers across all businesses and cultures.
- Have the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Have proven leadership capabilities
