Purpose and Scope of the Role
Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced CCTV Survey Crew Leader to lead a 2–3 person team delivering sewer network surveys for clients across the UK. Working on varied wastewater assets, you will use specialist CCTV equipment to identify defects, capture accurate data, complete paperwork, and annotate plans to a high standard. The role is client facing, field based and hands on, with regular interaction with survey teams, operational colleagues and customers.

In the short term, you will help deliver high-quality survey outputs and support the performance of a busy technical team. Over time, you will build trusted client relationships, strengthen your leadership capability and contribute to work that supports leakage reduction, flood prevention and pollution control. Longer term, this role offers clear scope for development within a growing technical business with opportunities to progress across surveying and inspection services.
Core Capabilities Required For Success
Technical Leadership
Essential: full UK driving licence and current OS19X qualification.
Desirable: Confined Spaces Certificate and NRSWA Signing, Lighting and Guarding.
Work Patterns and Locations
This is a field based role, with opportunities in Irlam. Overtime rates and benefits apply, and a DBS check and drugs and alcohol testing are required.

- Lead a small site team confidently, coordinating daily activities and maintaining quality, safety and productivity.
- Apply proven CCTV drainage experience and current OS19X Sewer Condition Classification knowledge to deliver accurate survey results.
- Work safely in confined spaces, on highways and in all weather conditions, with confidence handling heavy covers and equipment.
- Produce clear records, complete paperwork accurately and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Demonstrate a dependable approach, with the ability to travel, work weekends, evenings, early starts and late finishes when required.
