Targeted Provision Group is looking for a SEND Specialist Interviewer to join our team on a casual, remote basis. This role offers a flexible working pattern with no guaranteed minimum hours, making it ideal for those seeking a rewarding role that fits around other commitments.

We provide specialist tutors and mentors for children with additional educational needs, and our Recruitment Team is the gateway to ensuring every specialist we work with is Safely Recruited and trauma-informed.

The SEND Specialist Interviewer role:

  • Conduct Interviews: Meet with potential tutors to assess their skills, experience, and suitability for the role of a SEND Specialist.
  • Admin and Record Keeping: Process applications and interviews within our ATS and maintain accurate records of interviews and provide feedback on candidate trends.
  • Evaluate Approach: Assess the candidate's ability to work in a holistic, trauma-informed manner.
  • Maintain Standards: Ensure every candidate meets our high quality and safeguarding benchmarks to deliver the best outcomes for our learners.
  • Champion our Mission: Present Targeted Provision Group’s child-centred approach to all interviewing tutors.
  • Candidate Experience: Build rapport and ensure a positive, professional journey for all applicants.

About You

We are looking for someone with high emotional intelligence and a passion for education. You should have a strong understanding of the SEND sector and the challenges faced by Care Experienced children.

Requirements:

  • Flexible Availability: Ability to provide availability for interview slots (typically during school/business hours).
  • Safeguarding Knowledge: A strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and Safer Recruitment practices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and written skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Organisation: Ability to manage your own schedule and meet feedback deadlines for the interviews you conduct.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable using remote meeting tools and ATS software.
  • Child-centred approach: Values that place the experience of vulnerable young people at the core of your decision making.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in an interviewing or recruitment role.
  • A background in tutoring, teaching, or working with vulnerable young people.
  • Familiarity with Airtable or Front.
