As Team Leader you will lead and motivate a team of support workers ensuring that excellent person-centred care and support is delivered to people supported by Lifeways to enable them to live a fulfilling and independent life.
You will be involved in the recruitment of, and the ongoing development of support workers by carrying out staff supervisions, candidate interviews and providing general guidance and expertise.
You will possess excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with staff, people we support and outside professionals. In addition, good written communication and IT skills for record keeping.
The role entails supporting the Manager to run a busy 19 bed flat scheme for adults with Learning disabilities. The completion of medication and Finance weekly audits. Teir checks and health and safety checks, attending meetings and training. To complete Staff supervisions and appraisals. Sending and responding to emails.
This service is in a residential area with small cafes, pubs and restaurants, as well as Ford Green Hall Museum and Whitfield Valley Nature Reserve. Nearby Tunstall and Hanley both have a wider range of libraries, high-street shops and banks. For people who like to stay active, Dimensions Leisure Centre provides year-round access to a gym and swimming pool. A short bus journey will take you to Stoke-on-Trent, which has larger attractions including Waterworld swimming pool, Festival Retail Park and intu Potteries for shopping, Regent Theatre, the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery, Tenpin Stoke bowling, an Odeon Cinema and a Cineworld.
At this service we support a group of people with diverse needs. The property is well suited to a mobile person who likes to socialise and be part of a friendly group. People enjoy watching television, gaming, walking, going to the pub, line dancing, swimming, cooking, shopping and being in the community. PWS at this service choose how they spend their time - lunch out or visiting the pub are firm favourites. For day trips, people also enjoy going to Chester Zoo and Blackpool.

- Contract 37.5 hours
- Long days 0730-2130 or 0800-2200 and will have some admin time within these hours . Sleep overs will be required in RH service
