You understand how to manage a pipeline, follow up professionally, and build trust with contractors, installers, facilities teams, and project stakeholders. You are organised, proactive, and confident presenting value beyond price alone.
You will likely come from fire safety, passive fire protection, construction products, technical sales, facilities management, or a related built environment sector.

About the Role
You are joining the team to help accelerate the growth of Safelincs’ Fire Door division by converting existing opportunities, developing new business relationships, and increasing nationwide sales performance.
Your average customer may range from:
- Fire door installers and contractors
- Commercial building owners, facilities teams, and remediation project stakeholders
Success in your first year looks like:
- Convert a substantial proportion of a £3m+ quoted pipeline
- Deliver £1m+ revenue contribution in Year One
- Build a repeatable stream of contractor and installer business
- Become the commercial lead for Fire Door growth
To achieve this, you will:
- Manage and progress a large existing pipeline of quoted opportunities
- Develop new business relationships across the UK through proactive sales activity
- Work closely with the internal technical and quotations team to deliver projects successfully
Activity Expectations
This is a high-autonomy field sales role with clear expectations around pipeline management, customer communication, and commercial activity. You will be expected to manage your own diary professionally while maintaining close communication with the wider Fire Door team.
- Travel across the UK to meet customers and develop relationships
- Maintain accurate CRM records and follow-up activity
- Attend customer meetings, project discussions, and networking opportunities
- Collaborate daily with the office-based team on quotations and technical requirements
- Attend the office approximately once per month during onboarding and early development
Reward
Basic salary of £42,000 – £55,000 depending on relevant experience, plus uncapped bonus based on target achievement and profitability. Current pipeline indicates a realistic additional earning potential of £10,000 – £25,000 annually.
Safelincs will also provide a fully expensed Tesla after successful completion of your probation period.
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management
- Experience within fire safety, passive fire protection, technical construction products, or a related industry
- Ability to manage long sales cycles, quotations, and commercial follow-up professionally
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working remotely with nationwide travel
Advantageous Criteria
- Existing relationships within passive fire protection, fire doors, or contractor networks
- Experience selling into installers, facilities management, or commercial construction environments

Your Team
You will work closely with the Fire Door Manager and internal support team of six people, alongside senior leadership. The internal team manages technical specifications, quotations, and operational support, allowing you to focus on developing relationships, progressing opportunities, and winning business.
You will receive regular support, structured onboarding, and ongoing communication with leadership throughout your development.
Your Environment
You will be working remotely with nationwide travel, supported by an experienced office-based technical, quotations, and operational team. During onboarding you will spend most of your 1st week at our Alford (Lincolnshire) HQ, and then will attend the office approximately once per month to build relationships, understand processes, and stay closely connected with the Fire Door team.
