As our Service Advisor, you will be the face of the AA at our front desk, and a key part of ensuring that we deliver to the highest standards. You will effectively communicate expectations and deadlines between our customers and the team, whilst managing the workshop calendar to enable us to deliver on our promises.
This role will see you working closely with the Centre Manager and provide a variety of opportunities for learning and development for those looking for an Autocentre career.

As our Service Advisor, you will be the face of the AA at our front desk, and a key part of ensuring that we deliver to the highest standards. You will effectively communicate expectations and deadlines between our customers and the team, whilst managing the workshop calendar to enable us to deliver on our promises.
This role will see you working closely with the Centre Manager and provide a variety of opportunities for learning and development for those looking for an Autocentre career.
What will I be doing?
- Provide extensive product and service knowledge, acting as a brand ambassador with integrity to guide, advise, and understand customer needs.
- Arranging and booking your customers vehicle servicing appointments via telephone and email.
- Handle sensitive customer scenarios with empathy, integrity, and transparency, taking ownership of the entire customer journey.
- Maximise service sales and profitability through upselling of additional works.
- Take ownership of customer concerns, acting as the primary contact and providing direct contact information to build confidence.
- Provide best advice on any report repairs or additional service required, be able to sell with confidence and become their point of contact for the duration of their vehicle being within our Workshop.
- Be able to provide updates and consultatively advise on repair work being or needing to be carried out.
- Create customer invoices and run through the work that has been carried out on their vehicle. Proactively reschedule appointments for the customer for any future vehicle maintenance or servicing. Collaborate with the team to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
- Actively build trust with customers, demonstrating an open and honest approach.
- Ensure ownership of promises made and follow through on commitments.
- Adhere to internal policies and processes to ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately and appropriately.
Essential
- You will hold a driving licence with 6 points or less
- You will have experience as either a workshop controller or in a parts/supply role
- You will have previous or current experience in a dealership, a vehicle fast fit tyre/brake/exhaust centre, or larger independent garage
- Vehicle technical qualifications, while useful are not an absolute requirement, however it would be expected that the individual would have strong, proven experience within the Vehicle service, maintenance, and repair industry
