Main duties of the job
Are you interested in a role that will assist with training, workplace pastoral support and assessment of support workers?
You will assist with the planning, delivery and evaluation of support worker training and facilitating specified training sessions supporting individual and group-based learning.
This role will also act as a 'Champion' for support staff and as a role model for excellent patient care.

Support and contribute to the planning, implementation, delivery and evaluation of training programmes for support worker learners.
Assist with the induction and Introduction of learners to their relevant programme.
Supporting Learners To Complete Their Competencies And/or Qualifications
Providing learners with prompt, accurate and constructive feedback on decisions.
Experience/skills Needed
Foundation degree in clinical healthcare, e.g., Health Assistant
Practitioner/ Nursing Associate or Level 3 NVQ/Apprenticeship in Healthcare, e.g. HCA or SHCA
Up-to-date experience of working in a clinical healthcare setting
Able to use Microsoft Office, including email, PowerPoint,, Word and Excel
Health and physical abilities sufficient for the post (if necessary, with reasonable adjustments with respect to the Equality Act/Disability Discrimination Act). Able to stand/sit for long periods whilst in the office or classroom.
Able to work in a clinical environment to train/assess learners and to maintain personal competence and remain up to date in current practice.
Shift coverage can be negotiated, but core hours are from 8-4 Monday-Friday

- Foundation degree in clinical healthcare, e.g. Heath Assistant Practitioner or Nursing Associate or Level 3 NVQ/Apprenticeship in Healthcare e.g. HCA or SHCA
- Up to date experience of working in clinical healthcare setting
- Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional education
- Ability to concentrate on own work in a busy office/clinical environment with frequent interruptions.
- Confidently present information to groups
- Able to work in clinical environment to train/assess learners and to maintain personal competence and remain up to date in current practice.
- Enthusiastic about support worker development
- Assessor or mentor qualification e.g. TAQA award to assess NVQs or apprenticeships
- Acting as a Care Certificate Champion.
- Experience of training, assessing, mentoring and supporting others in the workplace.
