City: Slough
Contract type: Contractor

I am recruiting Assistant Quantity Surveyors for a Tier 1 national construction business based in Berkshire but initially to work on a new office and lab scheme and a Data Centre in Slough.
The company are a recognised brand with turnover in excess of a billion per year but still retain a family feel to the business in terms of values and how they treat staff, clients and the wider supply chain. They work on frameworks and negotiated schemes in the education, health care, retail and development, office and data marketplaces. Project values range from GBP25 to GBP90 million and they are with the client every step of the way offering advice, support and finding new and innovative ways of working.
Your duties will be to work with the estimating and bid teams to firm up prices and costs for each package based on the initial bids, compile a working scope of works and bill of quants for each package and work with the supply chain to establish how each phase will be delivered. Place orders, arrange pre start meetings and then manage the scheme in conjunction with the delivery team and carry out the standard QS role of valuations, payments, remeasures, managing variation accounts, CVRs and weekly, monthly reporting and forecasting through to final account all under the supervision of a Senior Qs who will help with your training and development.
The initial schemes are a new build office and lab scheme GBP30 million and 2 Data Centres valued at GBP25 million each.
The role would be ideal for someone looking to expand their knowledge and training and they are one of the best in the industry at training, development and promoting internal talent based on hard work and results so if you are looking to join a progressive, forward thinking company that will develop and help you achieve your goals and ambitions then this could be the role for you.
They are open to people from main contractors, regional specialists as well as established subcontractors within the industry.
If you are still on day release or remote/distance learning with a degree they will be open to transferring the course across and covering the outstanding training costs as well as funding additional training such as RICS accreditation.
