We're currently recruiting a dedicated Assistant - Zero Hours to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Chartwells on a permanent casual basis, contracted to 0 hours per week.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Welcoming guests
  • Taking orders
  • Providing recommendations
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Mixing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Ensuring accurate preparation and quality
  • Taking orders from customers at the bar and from servers
  • Delivering food and drinks efficiently
  • Accurately handling cash and credit card transactions
  • Managing tabs
  • Ensuring proper record-keeping
  • Maintaining a clean and well-stocked bar area
  • Cleaning glasses
  • Restocking supplies
  • Managing inventory
  • May include checking ID for age verification
  • Assisting with other bar duties
  • Potentially serving food


Our Ideal Assistant - Zero Hours Will

  • Ability to interact with customers, handle inquiries, and resolve issues professionally.
  • Familiarity with different types of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, recipes, and preparation methods.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Clear and effective communication with customers and colleagues.
  • Accurate handling of cash transactions and managing tabs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring physical activity.
  • Ensuring accurate drink preparation, maintaining a clean bar, and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Previous experience in a cocktail bar or restaurant environment is often preferred.
  • Must be able to verify the age of customers to ensure compliance with alcohol regulations.
  • Understanding of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
