What the role will involve

The responsibilities of the role may include the following:

  • Use of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for the test of product.
  • Use electronic systems to track repairs and update correctly.
  • Check Assemblies meet quality standards and seek advice from supervisor or Manufacturing Engineer as necessary.
  • Work with other Cell members using lean manufacturing techniques and participate in lean production activities.
  • Work to daily targets, in line with customer requirements.
  • Work to defined processes and work instructions
  • Assist Supervisors, undertaking any reasonable task as directed.


What you’ll bring

The role requires the following experience and skills:

  • Ability to communicate and work in a team
  • Keen interest in soldering, repair or rework
  • Interest in manufacturing and repair principles

Desirable but not essential:

  • Previous experience in soldering
    • Work completed to IPC7711/7721 standard with option of in-house training
  • Previous experience in repair or rework
  • Knowledge of 5S+1 principles
  • Experience in continuous improvement
