About The Role
- During the apprenticeship, the successful candidate will participate in both academic and vocational training resulting in a Level 4 Quality Practitioner qualification (Environmental) that is professionally recognised by the Chartered Quality Institute, NOCN Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations (Engineering Practices) and Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship
- Shadow key members of the IMS and Environmental teams.
- Support the Environmental team with requirements associated with environmental legislation.
- Support the Environmental Management System (EMS), including updating of the EMS manual, data collection & analysis, reporting, compliance & environmental audits.
- Support with the organization of environmental data to facilitate monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycles.
- Read and understand customer environmental queries to support the bids and tenders team.
- Participate in environmental investigations and support with regular sample collection for proof of compliance with regards to trade effluent discharge and compliance with Environmental Permits.
- Support with the creation of plans and procedures for topics such as spill prevention, dealing with hazardous waste and improving air quality in line with requirements of ISO 14001.
- Prepare data for the environmental team and actively participate in meetings and tracking of agreed follow-up actions
- Support with the identification of new legislation or changes to existing legislation and work to implement actions to ensure compliance.
