Position Overview: Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (PNP-AC) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our esteemed Pediatric Critical Care team within the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat pediatric patients in the PICU.
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and formulate evidence-based treatment plans.
- Administer treatments and medications, perform procedures, and monitor patient responses.
- Provide family-centered care by effectively communicating with patients' families, addressing their concerns, and involving them in the decision-making process.
- Participate in medical rounds, case presentations, and educational activities to enhance team knowledge and clinical practice.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and research projects to advance pediatric critical care practices.
- Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (PNP-AC) or Physician Assistant (PA) certification and licensure in the state of Florida.
- Master's degree in Nursing (PNP-AC) or Physician Assistant Studies (PA) from an accredited program.
- Prior experience in pediatric critical care or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Excellent clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
