As an Analyst in the Office of EMEA CEO at Millennium your primary responsibility will be to assist regional leadership in the management of cross-departmental initiatives across all areas of the firm, including with firm-wide growth opportunities, the Trading businesses, Operations, Finance & Accounting, Risk Management, Compliance, Technology, HR, etc. We are seeking a highly motivated graduate with a robust analytical skill set that they can use to solve complex problems and drive informed decisions. Day-to-day this means you’ll have the opportunity to influence senior executives, lead projects, and help develop our industry leading platform. While we are looking for someone technically competent, we are also looking for someone able to flex between big-picture thinking and a detail-oriented analytical focus when delivering information to senior leadership.

In addition to the typical responsibilities, you will work closely with the CEO and COO of Millennium EMEA on the strategic agenda for the region.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Conduct in depth research, develop quantitative analyses and synthesize information to provide recommendations to senior leaders to drive strategic business decisions
  • Assist in the delivery of multiple projects while keeping all stakeholders and sponsors informed
  • Develop a detailed understanding of Millennium and build comprehensive and innovative competitive and market analyses
  • Review existing practices, identify opportunities to increase efficiency, assist functional areas in delivery of improvements.
  • Challenge work in progress, results and reorient any analyses if needed
  • Build business cases in support of key decisions
  • Diagnose issues, prioritize and escalate when needed
  • Recognize areas for improvement and develop plans to implement
  • Identify potential risks and mitigants

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • Undergraduate degree from a top school with experience in manipulating and analysing data.
  • Proven ability to conduct rigorous analysis (both quantitative and qualitative) necessary to frame and solve complex problems
  • Strong communication skills; ability to influence and articulate a variety of issues to different audiences, tailoring messages accordingly
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly on new problems, shift gears and handle multiple topics concurrently
  • Strong presentation skills including proficiency in producing high quality Powerpoint presentations
