Location: Bedford College – Cauldwell Street Campus
Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £29,316 and £34,394 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 27 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, People’s Pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week – 52 weeks per year
Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time

About the role:
We are currently seeking an Additional Learning Support Admin Lead to join our Foundation Learning and Additional Learning Support department at The Bedford College Group.
As an ALS Admin Lead, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
- Leadership & ALS Administration Management – Lead and manage the ALS administrative team, ensuring high performance, effective workload allocation and a consistent, high‑quality administrative service across the College.
- ALS Coordination & Learner Support Processes – Oversee key ALS processes including referrals, assessments and scheduling, ensuring timely access to support for learners with SEND and High Needs.
- Data Management, Systems & Accuracy – Maintain high standards of data integrity across systems (e.g. ProSolution, Cognassist), ensuring accurate records, timely reporting and compliance with funding and audit requirements.
- Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement – Monitor service delivery against SLAs, analyse performance data and provide reports to drive efficiency, quality improvement and informed decision‑making.
- Customer Service, Compliance & Stakeholder Engagement – Deliver excellent customer service, liaise effectively with students, staff and external partners, and ensure compliance with safeguarding, GDPR, EDI and organisational policies.
About you:
- Qualifications, Compliance & SEND Knowledge – Level 3 qualified with GCSE English and maths (or working towards), and strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice and ALS funding requirements, with commitment to Level 5 development.
- ALS Funding, Data & Reporting Expertise – Significant experience in ALS funding administration, with the ability to analyse complex data, produce professional reports and ensure compliance with funding regulations.
- Data Accuracy, IT & Administrative Excellence – Highly skilled in data management systems (e.g. ProSolution, Microsoft Office), maintaining accurate records, meeting deadlines and supporting audit-ready processes.
- Organisation, Communication & Continuous Improvement – Excellent organisational and communication skills, able to work independently and collaboratively, manage competing priorities and drive process improvements.
