About The Role
We are looking for an experienced 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer to join the Tangerine Group Information & Systems Technology team. Reporting directly to the Director of IT, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security and performance of our IT infrastructure across the Group.
As the senior technical escalation point, you will take ownership of infrastructure provisioning, system administration and complex technical issues, while also supervising and developing junior team members. This is a hands-on role that blends technical leadership, project delivery and operational excellence.
The Tangerine Group is currently undertaking a significant ERP implementation, making this an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a changing, fast‑paced environment and has experience delivering large-scale IT projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be an experienced infrastructure professional who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and leading by example. You’ll be comfortable managing multiple priorities and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You will ideally have experience with:

What You’ll Be Doing
- Supervising and prioritising the Systems Technology team workload to ensure delivery against agreed KPIs
- Acting as the senior escalation point for complex infrastructure and systems issues
- Installing, upgrading and maintaining servers and core infrastructure
- Managing system availability, performance, backup, disaster recovery and business continuity
- Ensuring cybersecurity best practice is embedded across all systems
- Creating and maintaining clear technical documentation
- Supporting, coaching and developing 1st and 2nd Line colleagues
- Providing hands-on technical support when required across hardware, software and networks
- Working alongside the Director of IT to recommend and deliver technology improvement projects
- Liaising with third-party suppliers to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Supporting UK and international sites as required
You’ll be an experienced infrastructure professional who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and leading by example. You’ll be comfortable managing multiple priorities and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You will ideally have experience with:
- Windows Server administration
- Virtualisation technologies (Hyper‑V)
- Network and firewall technologies (Cisco Meraki)
- Microsoft 365
- Microsoft SQL
- Backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam)
- Endpoint security solutions (SentinelOne)
- ERP systems (experience of NetSuite is advantageous)
- Desktop and server security best practices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Experience delivering and supporting major IT projects
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- The ability to mentor and develop junior team members
