Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Fareham, supporting secondary‑aged pupils who experience learning difficulties, autism, sensory needs and language challenges. Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Fareham, supporting secondary‑aged pupils who experience learning difficulties, autism, sensory needs and language challenges. This role involves providing personalised support to help pupils access learning, regulate emotions and develop independence.
Contract Details
- Location: Fareham
- Start Date: September 2026
- Hours: 08:30am - 15:00pm
- Full‑time
- Pay Rate: From £14.25 per hour
- Calm behaviour support
- Strong behaviour management while maintaining a positive, supportive learning environment.
- Motivational approach to encourage engagement, communication and confidence.
- Support for sensory and communication needs, promoting independence and emotional wellbeing.
- Caring, patient and an excellent communicator.
- Self‑reflective and proactive with a willingness to learn.
- Experience supporting young people with Autism, learning difficulties or language needs.
To be eligible for this role, you must:
- Hold the right to work in the UK.
- Hold an enhanced child‑barred list DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
- Provide references covering the last 24 months.
- Free, accredited CPD courses, including safeguarding and behaviour management.
- Access to an in‑house Training & Development Team.
